A Wedding in the Groom’s Home Country

The excitement couldn’t be contained when Oisin proposed to Elizabeth. She contacted me and couldn’t wait to get started planning their wedding in Ireland, her grooms home country.

Both living in America, Elizabeth was lucky enough to be able to come over for a visit with her sister and I lined up viewings of multiple properties and supplier meetings for her to make her choices.

Bellinter House, was the chosen venue and nearby Kiltale Church was where they would have their Catholic wedding ceremony. Bellinter House is a fun and quirky but still elegant Manor house in Co Meath.

Elizabeth’s style was simple, elegant and understated. Colors were whites, creams, greens and slatey dusty blues. All very natural. The flowers were perfect by Flowers by Moira.

That style suited the photographer, Christina Brosnan’s style down to the ground. She took the gorgeous images and as usual, was just wonderful to have around on the day.

The day was a little damp but nothing could dampen the spirits. Christina perfectly worked with the soft light.

In true American style, the couple did their first dance before dinner. Leading their guests in for dinner right after.

A cake was chosen from The Cake Cuppery. Chocolate inside it had a creamy white buttercream outside and was topped with a classic vintage Bride & Groom

Other thanks go to Lida and Adrienne from the Powder Room Girls.
It was a very satisfying wedding for me and I can say it all went off without a hitch!!
