Hi! I’m Annie, and I started Aislinn Events, over 10 years ago to help couples plan weddings in Ireland from abroad. Since then we have planned quite literally hundreds of weddings and elopements for our amazing and diverse couples.
As an American living in Ireland for over 20 years, I have a grasp on how things work here. What the subtle differences are between Irish and North American styles and needs and can confidently say that I know where you are coming from!
My background is the service industry and I just love helping people. Because of that, I’ve always set out to plan weddings, well before leaving Los Angeles for Ireland. Following the dream to plan weddings, I gained extensive experience in all areas of hospitality, catering, weddings and corporate event management. Working in hotels in the 5-star market even 10 years before I started Aislinn Events so organized and executed hundreds of stunning weddings and fabulous events even then.

I am frequently asked to share my expertise on all things wedding and have appeared on Ireland AM, a national television show in Ireland, and given interviews on Today FM, 98 FM Dublin, Radio Kerry and other Irish radio stations. My weddings have been published in Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine, Confetti and Ireland’s Wedding Journal as well as being featured on Style Me Pretty, Every Last Detail, Junebug Weddings, One Fab Day. to name a few. I also initiated and created the first survey of Irish brides ever!
As for the more personal me, I believe it is vital to have fun and laugh every single day. Beautiful things just make me happy and I strive for perfection while accepting that no one is truly perfect. For sure I know that Ireland is a very special place and simply love living here. My survival needs are wine and cheese (together or on their own!), life must be orderly and tidy { I can’t bare chaos} and amazing shoes and handbags are my addiction. I love my job and strive to be not just a wedding planner for my couples, but a friend.
The very best thing about wedding planning is really seeing an event come together, from the first discussion of a bride’s vision to that moment after the wedding when the bride, groom, or a parent beams “it was everything we imagined and more!”
