Unique Wedding Invitations

You have heard me say it before and I’ll say it again. I love invitations, stationery, and letterpress. But I also love anything different and special and bespoke.

In my Sunday cruising of the web {as mentioned a few times this week} I came across A Fine Press Custom Event Stationers who did the stunning invitations I showed you on Tuesday.

These ones:

And of course, absolutely loved them. Repeating myself again, I started following links to links and found more brilliant individual invitations to show you. Here is a bit of what I found.

Also by A Fine Press, this invitation suite is made from plantable paper. Yes, after your wedding, your guests can plant your invitation and it will grow wildflowers. Eco bride or not, that is just cool!

Continuing on this theme of unique wedding invitations with alternative materials, I then found Bird and Banner. Talk about an individual. Try this

The wedding was to be under an Oak tree so each invitation was printed on a one of a kind vintage handkerchief and wrapped with a letterpressed band printed with a faux bois pattern and the couple’s initials. As a special touch, many of the male guests arrived wearing their ‘invitations’ as pocket squares.

This one, also by Bird and Banner is great for an Irish destination wedding where there is Irish family history.

The history and location of this family’s ancestral home was illustrated as an old postcard in this wedding invitation package.

Moving on to Invitation Crush. Love, Love, Love. It is like a blog for invitations. Designers can submit their work and basically showcasing the work of talented invite designers from all over the world. Here are a few I found and thought were really unique. I’ll give you direct links to each post on this one.
