Julie was so much fun to work with. It was emails just about every morning with photos of sparkling shoes, handbags and pink props asking “What do you think about these?” or “Can we do this?” After her wedding I actually really missed her and those morning emails. And I have to note, that she lives in Boston so morning for me was really really early in the morning for her!
For all of her work and creativity, Julie and Ray did absolutely have a beautiful wedding though. Shame on me for waiting for so long to show it to you all.
It was an Irish destination wedding with a country church wedding ceremony followed by drinks, dinner and dancing {of all kinds!} in the ornate old house of Carton House – which I also loved as a venue. The best of both old and new worlds. Julie’s photographer was the lovely Christina Brosnan and here are just a few of the beautiful photos she took of the fabulous sparkly day.
A vintage bus from Lawler’s Chauffeur got them all to and from the church on time!
All of the amazing and tasty cakes, cakepops, cupcakes and macaroons were by Iseult at The Cake Stand
Julie and Ray’s beloved dog Gabriel was not forgotten on the wedding day either. See him in their adorable bespoke cake topper.
We did wedding mad libs in place of a guest book. The end results were hilarious!
The tables looked beautiful personally names after sentimental places for the couple and adorned with flowers from Stephanie at The French Touch. They were stunning from the bouquets to the flower girl hair wreath to the tables.
After dinner the dancing started including a little surprise for everyone {including the groom!} an Irish dancing troupe, Celtic Fusion, who not only performed but also had groom and best man participation. That really kicked off the evening {no pun intended!}.
All in all it was a great day and a wonderful time was had by all. As I say, happiness radiates directly from the couple to their friends and families. This was a great example of that!
Thanks again to Christina Brosnan for documenting the day in such a special way as well as the behind the scenes people like Joanne Kelly and Michelle Grimes who did the girls’ hair, Clare Hogan was their makeup artist. Alan Brereton played and sang for their was the ceremony and drinks reception {and set a few single girls hearts a flutter!} and Marc from Dublin DJs did his thing and kept them dancing all night!
