I am once again ashamed on how long I’ve been holding on to this wedding without showing you. Very possibly I put off the blog post because there were just so so many fabulous images to include it was nearly impossible to narrow them down. At long last I have done but I had to be brutal with myself.
This is Amy and Phil’s wedding at Castle Durrow photographed by the fun loving and talented The Masterson’s. A perfect match for Amy and Phil. Fun loving photographers for a fun loving couple.
Amy was born in Dublin but her parents moved to Chicago when she was a baby. When after Phil proposed to her on a trip to Ireland, Amy knew three things. They had to get come back to Ireland for an Irish wedding, she had to have a candy bar and she wanted the Masterson’s to shoot it. Not exactly sure where I came in the priority mix but it doesn’t really matter. We had great fun in the planning and they were such a perfectly well matched couple it was a day of love and even more family fun as you will see.
The purple bridesmaids dresses and flowers complimented the end of summer purple blooms in the secret garden at Castle Durrow.
Amy and Phil did a first look before their church ceremony. Personally I think it’s such a fantastic, touching moment for a couple and these two also said their own private vows to each other at that time too, keeping it an immensely private moment just for them and all about them.
We had a great team of wedding suppliers for Amy and Phil so I’m giving a very bleated but big thank you to Marie and all of the super helpful staff at Castle Durrow, The Masterson’s once again for the beautiful photos and laugh during dinner {I still remember that!} with Elaine and Maurice from Velvetine Studios. Then there were Dawn Ryan and Susan Peggs on makeup and hair whom everyone loved {of course!}. All Occasion Florist did the bright purple and green flowers and The Cake Stand the stunning and tasty cake. Other helpers include The Rhondo Trio for the church music, the Panoramics kept them dancing all night, Cassidy Chauffeurs provided the fancy car and got the bride to the church on time and finally, The Sweet Treat Company satisfied Amy’s sweet tooth.
Thanks to all and all the best to Amy and Phil!
