Milk & Cookies

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Unfortunately I can’t say this is my own idea. Martha Stewart featured them , I saw them on Four Weddings and certainly once the dessert and sweets tables started showing up this was a natural progression. The milk & cookies table {or bar or station or whatever

Philip Shannon Photography

you want to call it} is an idea I love!

Maybe because I’m American, maybe because of the selection of cookies you can make yourself or maybe I’m just a milk and cookies kinda girl. But how fun and easy and DIYable is that idea?! Total comfort food.

Serve them on trays after a hard evenings dancing, set up a milk and cookies table, serve instead of cake all together, give home made cookies as favors in lovely cello wrapped bags or create a cookie mix in a jar for your guests to take home.

Think of the possibilities……

Chocolate milk, strawberry milk, banana milk, vanilla milk, all cold and frosty.

Chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodles, oatmeal Peanut butter cookies, coconut haystacks, the possibilities are endless!

A Few of My Favorite Trends

Friday, January 7th, 2011

How easy I am please. My husband may argue that, but give me a simple little thing like a paper tag or label and I get really excited.  As I think about it now, does that actually mean I am easy to please or just simple?

Anyway, the humble little tag. I love em! You can do anything and everything with them.

You can buy them decorated, patterned or personalized. You can even buy them plain and type your message on them,  stamp them or have a stamp made {they are pretty cheap too}.

Table plans, wine charms, gift tags, place cards or escort cards, invitations, save the dates, a n y t h i n g! They are cheap cheerful and you can make them super personal.

Here are some as they are and I’ll show you below how to use them.

All of the above can be found on Etsy and I recently bought a pack of 24 tags from this shop on Etsy for $1!!

Now here are a few sweet ideas on how to use them.

All of the photos above are from Once Wed

More below from The Wedding Chicks

What will you do with your little humble tag?
