Apothecary Jars

My fascination with apothecary jars started a long time ago. I think because I love antiques and apothecary jars seemed easy to find and cheap enough to purchase. They are just gorgeous for a home.

Now though, you see them everywhere for weddings too! On sweets tables, filled with flowers and as decor, even as cake stands!

Go truly vintage with colored glass ones, an old chemist’s chest {I want one of those so badly!} and Victorian lace.

Or fresh and shiny new

And just naked, empty and beautiful.

I would absolutely have them all around my house. **sigh**

Whites and Nudes

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

As much as I love the fun of color, you can not deny the elegance of whites and nudes for a wedding.

Pure, soft and classy you can relax whites and nudes by using natural textures and a variety of mixed white flowers or class and vintage it up by including feathers and some sparkles. What ever you style whites and nudes are beautiful.

Have a look at these to get you started.

Saturday Quickie

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

I have had this inspiration board in my head for a long time. Inspired by two of my brides, both of whom believe it or not are very different but, obviously still somehow similar.

Anyway, soft pinks and nudes with greys, a little bit of bling but mainly lots of reflective surfaces. This is what I came up with.

I started with the gowns. Both are Jenny Packham. The men’s suit I found on Hiparis.com and tie was on Zazzle.com. The fab cake is one from Sweet and Saucy. Emmy made the shoes, the car is Roman Limosine in America, Simply Bloom took the photo of that beautiful bouquet and the mint juleps are from Beaucoup and the other lovely flowers are from Martha Stewart.

It’s all beautiful.
