Irish Castles for Sale

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

Do you even come across a website and just become fascinated by it? I do! And not always wedding or design websites.

This week I found Former Glory. A website for people with an interest in period property in Ireland, including castles, churches, barns, mills, Georgian & Victorian houses, schoolhouses, railway stations, derelict farmhouses and cottages, and any old building with character.

Reading through the website you can find these types of properties to buy, rent or just visit out of curiosity. And hey, if you are looking for a place for an intimate wedding, here could be your hidden gem!

Here are a few for sale:

For Sale! E299,000 in Co Galway

The images for this one are just beautiful

For Sale! E POA in Co Tipperary

and more photos of Grantstown Castle

And another {This was supposed to be a quick post but I just can’t stop!}

For Sale! E850,000 in Co Wicklow

They are all beautifully photographed too so if you love castles, architecture or just love to dream go have a look!

Intimate Kinsale Wedding

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

Back in September, Sophie and Brian brought about 50 family and friends over from American to revisit their Irish heritage and get married in Kinsale.

Definately a merging of two families, this beautiful couple were lucky to have a dry day to enjoy the great scenery {and great food!} of Kinsale along with the admiration and support of the locals.

This wedding was just a Day of Wedding Coordination for me but Sophie did well with the pre wedding  plans making her own bouquets and otherwise hiring great suppliers including Philip Bourke Photography who was wonderful for me to work with on the day and was so good to let me show these wonderful photos.

After the ceremony all of the wedding party hopped on to the Kinsale Road Train and headed out to Charles Fort for photos and a wander through the grounds. – with their champagne of course!

What a gorgeous day they had. A big congrats to Sophie & Brian again and another thank you to Philip Bourke Photography for letting me share the photos with you.
