Flower Girl Dresses

Monday, May 14th, 2012

If you are going to have children in your wedding, especially quite young ones, be prepared.  They probably won’t do what you want. They may cry, they may run and hide. They may or may not walk down the aisle {mine didn’t} but mostly be prepared because they are going to steal the show. And they can add some really good fun so you’d better doll them up for the photos.

Or this one

Absolutely adorable.

Going for vintage elegance? This is lovely

by Elena Collection also on Etsy

Is your little one the more natural organic sort?

Fresh cotton flower girl dress from Olive and Fern {also} on Etsy.

This little dress is luxurious looking ankle length

by the aptly named Best Little Dress

Or how about these high street dresses from Monsoon

Vintage with gold accents or this super soft yellow {I am all about yellow right now!}

Or pale pink with beading

So you see, there is as much style and prettiness for your little bridal party members and there is for your big ones so have fun with them and let them have fun. Just, in my opinion, don’t put the young ones in just a smaller version of your bridesmaids. Everything after all should be tasteful and age appropriate. – and exceptionally adorable!

Affordable Vera

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

Well I’m just back from my trip home to Los Angeles. It was a real family visit and although I did have some bride meetings, I really didn’t do much wedding related things, unfortunately.

What I did do was pick up some American wedding magazines. I always love flipping through wedding magazines from other countries and pick them up whenever I travel abroad. Because of that I should have some fun new posts for you with hopefully a few different fun and creative things.

This first post on my return isn’t exactly on anything new as it stars Vera Wang. But what I do want to do with this post is show you, Irish brides, the very affordable Vera Wang gowns you can get from David’s bridal in America because yes, they do ship to Ireland.

I’ll tell you the cost in dollars and convert it into Euro at the current rate but keep in mind that there will be tax, postage and probably customs {unless you are sneaky – but keep in mind that I don’t condone evading customs — ahem} but they are all under the Irish national average on wedding gown spends.

Ready?

There are other colors in this lovely and it’s only $1,248.00 = about €950

Super gorgeous and reduced to $1148.00 = about €890.00

Romantic and only $1498.00 = €1,130.00

So pretty in Pink and discounted to $848.00 which = about €640.00!

See the full Vera Wang White collection at David’s Bridal here

And how about your maids?? More pretty pretty Vera for them too and all are under $200.00 = €150.00!

Love.

Whites and Nudes

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

As much as I love the fun of color, you can not deny the elegance of whites and nudes for a wedding.

Pure, soft and classy you can relax whites and nudes by using natural textures and a variety of mixed white flowers or class and vintage it up by including feathers and some sparkles. What ever you style whites and nudes are beautiful.

Have a look at these to get you started.
