Jessica & Conor

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

This was a beautiful wedding. Yes, I was the coordinator on Jessica & Conor’s wedding last September in Ballyferriter Church and recetpion at Ballintaggart House here in Dingle, but I can say without bias that it was a beautiful wedding for a few reasons.

One, because the design and details were down to Jessica and her good taste. -And heavy luggage as she brought pretty much everything over from America.

I can also say it because the vendors were basically the best of the best and brilliant to work with. Starting with the gorgeous {as always} photography from Keith and Evelyn of  Woodard photography, The flowers were stunning by Ann Marie O’Leary at A New Leaf in pale peaches and whites. Make up by Clodgah Cluskey of Pink here in Dingle who came to the house and did all of the girls, as did Pat O’Neill for everyone’s hair – and I mean everyone. They each did hair or makeup for 8 women each.

Also the weather was perfect. The forecast was rain so we had the orange monogrammed umbrellas at the ready, but the sun started to come out in the morning and never left. Not all day.

So without further ado…..

Thanks also have to go to Wiebke from Murphy’s Ice Cream in Dingle who was fantastic in coming up with sweets and cakes for the midnight sweets table and mini milk shake bar. {Yes, mini milkshakes!} Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of that because of hte time of night, but they all went down a treat!! {pun intended}. Also to John Liston of Autocabs Dingle who had the busses and got everyone to the church on time – which was a miracle with the wedding on the same day as the Dingle Marathon.

For more photos of this wedding and other beautiful Irish weddings and destination weddings in Ireland head on over to Woodard Photography blog here.

So big congratulations again to Jessica & Conor and a bit thanks again to everyone who was so great in bringing the day together.

Room Service Home

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

Honestly, if I had all of the money in the world I’d still be broke! I keep coming upon these great websites and just want everything!

Today in my quest for photos for a totally different post I came across Room Service Home and fell in love. They have beautiful things for home, things for my office {my new thing is buying for my office} and things for weddings. So the bottom line is that post I was going to do is scrapped so I can linger over these lovelies.

I’m always looking for beautiful beverage dispensers and Room Service home has plenty.

Love this one!

Beach wedding accessories anyone? or just lucky enough to have a beach house….

I love these hurricanes. They are filled with shells here but you can fill them with whatever you like! Flowers, petals, Christmas bulbs, colored water, anything you can think of!

And here are a few other fun things..

These are simply beautiful!

These would fit in great with the right theme!

Just loads of loveliness! did you find anything you had been looking for? Find anything you have to have??

Pretty Parasols

Monday, May 24th, 2010

I have been thinking of doing a post on umbrellas for quite a long time now but thought I’d wait until the winter when it was more appropriate. However with the weather as warm and sunny {yea!} as it has been and with me planning an outside wedding for this time next year, it got me thinking about parasols. They are a fun, whimsical and practical way to add flair and solve a problem. Anyone who may have had an outside wedding {or even drinks reception} here over the last few days with the sun really beating down could have used parasols and fans to keep their guests more comfortable.

I’ll begin my inspiration with this fabulous wedding from Kelly Oshiro Events in California that I have been holding on to for a long time.  I love the fashion of it {the dress was designed and made for the bride} the colors and the style; and the bride and her maids made a fantastically dramatic entrance. Read how they did it here.

So that was my fav but here are more great photos for inspiration and then I’ll tell you where to get them.

Now, where to get them

These are from Pearl River and come in traditional paper and bamboo or you can get nylon.

or Pamela’s Parasols does not only pretty colors but monograms and personalized parasols.

Both companies do fans too which are great for all of your guests and girls!
