Ruth and Jamie’s wedding was one I did last year and although you may have see it already {very kindly featured on One Fab Day} I haven’t actually shown it myself but with the beginning of wedding season blooming I thought it was time.
I was actually a gift to Ruth from her sister because Ruth being based in Dublin and her wedding happening in Kerry with lots of details {as you will see}, suppliers and logistics to manage, well, she just thought I may make Ruth’s wedding planning life a little easier.
Part of the reason I’m telling you that is because unfortunately I can’t take credit for the styling. Ruth was brilliant, knew exactly the look and style she wanted and hired the best there was to make it happen.
The church was on Valentia Island where everyone hopped onto the ferry over and the reception was a seaside marquee in Ballinskelligs. Each is a great example of the many stunning area and locations we have here in Co Kerry.
So here we go with the beautiful photos taken by Ken and Julien of KOH Photography who are not only hugely talented but really good fun too.
After a beautiful ceremony the couple headed off around the island stopping at the beach where the sun stayed out all day and when the sun is shinning in Kerry there is nowhere better.
And a few other stops to make some friends
Jamie and Ruth’s guests were back at the marquee overlooking the sea and mountains enjoying elegant cocktails and rustic canapes.
Ruth and Co handmade the Parmesan crisps you see on the tables there. Yummy and looked great too!
I keep showing food but it was delish and just an all around great menu with antipasti for everyone to share, then Fillet Beef and locally caught Lobster. Caterer was local chef Ivor o’Connor and he was amazing.
All in all a great day with friends and family, great food in a superb location.
Credit for all of the flowers and centerpieces goes fully to Mark Grehan Designs. – he was fabulous.
It was great working with Ruth and Jamie and I’m delighted their day turned out so gorgeous after all of their hard work.
